Terms of Service

1. Agreement and eligibility

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the Mahjong Ease mobile application and website (together, the "Services"), provided by NIXLIGHT TECHNOLOGY LIMITED ("Nixlight," "we," "us," or "our"). By downloading, accessing, or using the Services, you agree to these Terms and our Privacy Policy.

If you do not agree, do not use the Services. You must be legally able to accept these Terms. If you are not old enough to do so where you live, a parent or legal guardian must review and accept them for you.

2. Limited app license

Subject to these Terms and the rules of the store from which you obtained Mahjong Ease, Nixlight grants you a limited, personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, non-sublicensable, and revocable license to install and use the app on devices you own or control for personal, non-commercial entertainment.

Your use may also be governed by the Apple App Store or Google Play terms. Where those platform terms apply and conflict with these Terms on a matter controlled by the platform, the applicable platform terms control.

3. Gameplay and optional assistance

Mahjong Ease provides numbered Mahjong Solitaire deals, hints, shuffling, scoring, statistics, and optional auto-complete. Hints are free. Automatic shuffling when no playable pair remains is free. Manual shuffle and the first use of auto-complete for a deal may require coins unless Premium Pass is active.

Game rules, layouts, scoring, available assistance, coin costs, and other balance details may be adjusted in future versions to improve the game or keep it operational. The current app interface controls if a website description differs from the installed version.

4. Virtual coins and rewarded ads

Coins are virtual, in-app items used only within Mahjong Ease. New installs currently receive 20 coins. The app may allow you to receive coins by voluntarily completing a rewarded ad. Current rewards, daily limits, and coin costs are shown in the app.

Coins are not money or stored value. They have no cash value, cannot be sold, transferred, traded, or redeemed, and do not create property rights. Nixlight may change, limit, suspend, or discontinue virtual coin features where reasonably necessary, subject to applicable law.

Rewarded ads are optional and supplied by a third-party advertising network. If an ad is unavailable, cancelled, interrupted, limited by consent choices, or not completed, the related reward may not be granted. Availability varies by region, device, network, consent status, and advertising demand.

Mahjong Ease does not provide cash prizes, gift cards, cryptocurrency, play-to-earn rewards, NFTs, or transferable digital assets.

5. Premium Pass and purchases

Mahjong Ease may offer a one-time Premium Pass purchase. While active, Premium Pass removes coin limits for opening deals, auto-complete, and manual shuffling, so rewarded ads are not needed. The exact features and localized purchase price are shown before purchase.

Apple or Google processes the transaction. Purchase authorization, family sharing, refunds, taxes, currencies, and payment methods are governed by the applicable app store and law. Except where the app store or applicable law provides otherwise, purchases are final. Premium Pass may be restorable with the same store account used for the original purchase.

A "lifetime" or "one-time" purchase refers to access for the supported lifetime of Mahjong Ease, not the lifetime of a user or device. We may stop supporting the app where reasonably necessary, subject to applicable law.

6. Local progress and device changes

Game progress, statistics, settings, coins, opened deals, and unlock records are stored locally on your device. Mahjong Ease does not currently provide an account-based cloud-save service. Local data may be lost if you uninstall the app, clear app data, reset or replace the device, restore an incomplete backup, or experience device or storage failure.

A qualifying Premium Pass may still be restorable through the original app store account, but local coins and gameplay records may not be restorable. You are responsible for maintaining any device backup you choose to use.

7. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• use the Services in violation of applicable law or another person's rights;
• interfere with, disrupt, overload, or attempt unauthorized access to the Services or related systems;
• circumvent or manipulate purchases, ad rewards, coin balances, entitlement checks, or technical restrictions;
• copy, distribute, sell, lease, sublicense, or commercially exploit the Services except as expressly permitted;
• reverse engineer, decompile, or modify the app except to the limited extent such restriction is prohibited by law; or
• use automated tools to scrape, probe, or abuse this website.

8. Intellectual property

The Services, including software, interface design, branding, text, graphics, audio, layouts, and other materials, are owned by Nixlight or used under license. These Terms do not transfer ownership to you. Third-party materials remain subject to their respective licenses and rights.

9. Third-party services

Mahjong Ease relies on services provided by Apple, Google, RevenueCat, and hosting or infrastructure providers. Their services may be subject to separate terms and privacy policies. Nixlight does not control their availability, content, payment decisions, or independent data practices.

10. Availability, updates, and termination

We may provide updates, change compatibility requirements, correct errors, modify features, or discontinue some or all of the Services. Updates may be required for continued operation, security, store compliance, or compatibility. We do not guarantee that the Services will always be available on every device, operating system, location, or app store.

We may suspend or terminate access where you materially violate these Terms, misuse the Services, or where required for security or legal reasons. Provisions that by their nature should survive termination will continue to apply.

11. Disclaimers and limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, the Services are provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of uninterrupted availability, error-free operation, fitness for a particular purpose, or compatibility with every device. Nothing in these Terms excludes warranties or rights that cannot legally be excluded.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Nixlight will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for loss of local game data, profits, goodwill, or opportunities arising from the Services. Where liability cannot be excluded, it is limited to the greater of the amount you paid for Mahjong Ease during the twelve months before the claim or the minimum amount required by applicable law.

12. Changes and general terms

We may update these Terms to reflect changes to the Services, providers, or law. The effective date at the top will be updated. Continued use after updated Terms take effect means you accept them, to the extent permitted by law.

If a provision is unenforceable, it will be limited or removed to the minimum extent necessary and the remaining provisions will continue. A delay in enforcing a provision is not a waiver. You may not transfer these Terms without our consent; we may transfer them as part of a reorganization, financing, merger, acquisition, or sale of the relevant business, subject to applicable law.
